OS: Windows 10 Pro upgrade
Hardware: Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller -- Two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports.
Prior to upgrading, my Windows 7 Pro and Reneses Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller had no issues whatsoever. After upgrading to Windows 10 Pro, the Device Manager shows an exclamation point on my Reneses USB 3.0 Host Controller. I clicked on Update Driver but the result was 'the driver is up to date'. I uninstalled the device and reloaded the driver from my Windows 7 Pro but still the exclamation point shows up on the device. I clicked on Troubleshooting and it showed the issue with the Reneses Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller and applied the fix but it could not fix it.
Is there a fix for this issue at this time or should I expect a fix when Windows 10 Pro updates roll out?
Reloaded the original driver and rebooted and plugged in my external drive and it works now. Checked the driver for the USB 3.0 and showed Renesas Electronics v. 2.0.34.0 dated 2/10/2011. Whatever update that was loaded during the reboot ... I didn't notice it but it works now.
This issue is resolved ... for now.
